ABOUT COLLEGE

Gaya College of Engineering (GCE), Gaya is a government engineering college, established in the year 1981 under Chairmanship of Late Sri Ramashray Prasad Singh, Minister, Government of Bihar, Dr. Jagdish Sharma, formerly MP, late Sri Jai Kumar Palit, MLA, Late Capt Shah Jahan, MLA, Sri Gopal Prasad Singh, formerly District Board chairman, Gaya, Late Dr. Shakeel Ahmad formerly principal, Mirza Galib College, Gaya & Vice-Chancellor BRBU University, Muzaffarpur, and Late Prof RD Singh. The campus spreads over 87 acres of land. It was formerly known as Magadh Engineering College. In the year 1994, the name was changed to Gaya College of Engineering. It is managed by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of Bihar. GCE Gaya is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University in Patna and is approved and recognised by AICTE.

Admission Process:

Gaya College of Engineering, Gaya offers undergraduate courses in engineering. For admission to this course, candidates need to appear for the entrance exam - JEE Main. Further, candidates also need to appear for Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC) conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

UG Programmes:

- Aspiring candidates have to apply and appear for JEE Main.

- Based on the marks secured in JEE Main, candidates have to register for Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling, previously known as BCECE conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

- Based on the merit of JEE Main a merit list will be prepared, candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be shortlisted for the counselling process.

- Shortlisted candidates have to participate in the counselling process, choice filling choice locking, seat allotment and document verification.

- Final admission will be based on merit, participation in the counselling process, choice filling choice locking, seat allotment and document verification.
