Nalanda College of Engineering, Chandi was established in the year 2008 by the Government of Bihar under the Department of Science and Technology. The institute is also known as NEC Chandi. Nalanda College of Engineering, Chandi is affiliated to the Aryabhatta Knowledge University(AKU) Patna (Bihar). NEC Chandi is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi. Nalanda College of Engineering, Chandi offers undergraduate courses in engineering and Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Applied Science & Humanities are the academic departments of the institute.

Admission Process:
Nalanda College of Engineering, Chandi offers undergraduate courses in engineering. For admission to this course, candidates need to appear for the entrance exam - JEE Main. Further, candidates also need to appear for Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC) conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.
UG Programmes:
- Aspiring candidates have to apply and appear for JEE Main.
- Based on the marks secured in JEE Main, candidates have to register for Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling, previously known as BCECE conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.
- Based on the merit of JEE Main a merit list will be prepared, candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be shortlisted for the counselling process.
- Shortlisted candidates have to participate in the counselling process, choice filling choice locking, seat allotment and document verification.
- Final admission will be based on merit, participation in the counselling process, choice filling choice locking, seat allotment and document verification.
