You are welcome to Shershah Engineering College Sasaram believe in providing quality technical education and information about courses to students. Shershah Engineering College, Sasaram has excellent facilities to pursue technical studies and research. It is state government institution under administrative control of Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Bihar. Shershah Engineering College is one amongst the six new Government Engineering College established in 2016 by the Government of Bihar under Department of Science &Technology. It will start its first academic session (2016-17) from campus of the Government Polytechnic, Dehri-onSone. The college has approval of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Arayabhatt Knowledge University (AKU), Patna. The new engineering college will have four engineering branches- Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering with an intake of 60 per branch and 252 Students in total.

Admission Process:

From 2019 and onwards admissions will be taken by national level exam JEE(Mains) merit list. Students desirous to take admissions must appear in IIT-JEE(Mains) Exam that is conducted by National Testing Agency(NTA). Earlier Undergraduate admissions are done through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination(BCECE) conducting by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Under Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act, 1995 of Bihar government. The Entrance examination is of two stages: First stage is the screening test or preliminary test. The screened candidates have to appear in the main examination (second stage). Based on the merit list in the second stage, successful candidates allotted seats in different engineering colleges of Bihar.

UG Programmes:

- Aspiring candidates have to apply and appear for JEE Main.

- Based on the marks secured in JEE Main, candidates have to register for Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling, previously known as BCECE conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

- Based on the merit of JEE Main a merit list will be prepared, candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be shortlisted for the counselling process.

- Shortlisted candidates have to participate in the counselling process, choice filling choice locking, seat allotment and document verification.

- Final admission will be based on merit, participation in the counselling process, choice filling choice locking, seat allotment and document verification.
